Welcome to Hachi’s Privacy Commitment

At Hachi, we believe your creativity should be private and uncomplicated. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use our app to turn ordinary images into unique, non-rectangular cutouts. We don’t collect unnecessary information—so you can focus on what matters: making amazing art.

This policy applies to all users of Hachi, whether you’re using core features or optional in-app purchases.

What Information Do We Collect?

We keep data collection minimal. Here’s the only information we might encounter:

• No Account Required: We don’t ask for your name, email, or any personal identifiers to use Hachi’s core features. You can create and save cutouts without sharing any personal details.
• Local Device Data: Temporary files (like edited images in progress) are stored on your device—never sent to our servers. Your finished creations are saved to your photo library or the app’s Creations section (both local to your device).
• Anonymous Usage Analytics (Optional): We may collect non-identifiable data about how you use Hachi (e.g., which templates are popular, how often you use Artisan Mode) to improve our features. This data doesn’t include your name, email, or any personal information.
• Support Requests: If you contact us for help (via email), we’ll collect your email address and any details you share to resolve your issue. This information is only used to assist you.
• In-App Purchases: When you buy optional template collections, your payment is processed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We don’t collect or store your payment details (credit card, billing address, etc.)—those are handled securely by the app store providers.

How Do We Use Your Information?

We use your data only for purposes that enhance your Hachi experience:

• To deliver and maintain core features (e.g., letting you import images, edit cutouts, and save creations).
• To improve the app: Using anonymous analytics to fix bugs, optimize performance, and add new features you’ll love.
• To respond to your support queries: If you reach out with a question or issue, we use your contact info to help solve it.

How Do We Share Your Information?

We never sell or rent your personal information to third parties. Here’s when we might share data:

• App Store Providers: For in-app purchases, your transaction details are shared with Apple or Google (per their privacy policies).
• Analytics Partners: If we use analytics tools (like Firebase), they may collect anonymous usage data—but they don’t share your personal information with us or others.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights (e.g., preventing fraud or complying with a court order).

Your Rights Over Your Data

You have full control over your data when using Hachi:

• Delete Local Data: You can remove your creations from the Creations section or uninstall the app to delete all Hachi-related data from your device.
• Access or Delete Support Data: If you’ve contacted us, you can ask to view or delete the information we have about you by sending an email.
• Opt-Out of Analytics: If we offer an analytics opt-out (in the app’s settings), you can turn off data collection at any time.

Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data: Local files are stored securely on your device, and any support information we collect is kept in encrypted systems. However, no method of data storage is 100% secure—so we recommend keeping your device updated and using strong security settings.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect app changes or new practices. When we do, we’ll post the new version in the Profile section of Hachi. Your continued use of the app after the update means you agree to the new terms.
